Please read Section 12 carefully. It requires most disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration instead of in court, and it waives class actions and jury trials. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as Section 12 explains.

1. Accepting these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Block Agency LLC, doing business as Farmers Insurance - Block Agency ("Block Agency," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to your use of blockagencyinc.com (the "Site"), including our quote forms and rate estimator.

By using the Site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. The Privacy Policy is a notice, not part of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You can still reach us by phone at (651) 252-6655. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a quote request.

2. About our agency

Block Agency is a Farmers Insurance® agency owned by Ryan Block. We are located at 1121 Town Centre Drive, Suite 101, Eagan, MN 55123. The agency is licensed in Minnesota (license #40025895) and Wisconsin.

We are an insurance agency, not an insurance company. We offer Farmers products first. When Farmers isn't the right fit, we can also shop additional carriers. The insurer that issues a policy is named in your policy documents. Life insurance is issued by Farmers New World Life Insurance Company.

  • Nothing on this Site is a binder of coverage. Visiting the Site, using the rate estimator, submitting a form, or receiving a quote does not put any coverage in force.
  • Coverage starts only when the insurer says so. Coverage begins only after the insurer accepts your application and issues a binder or policy, and any required premium is paid.
  • Coverage is subject to underwriting and policy terms. All coverage is subject to the insurer's underwriting rules and to the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in the policy. If anything on this Site differs from your policy, the policy controls.
  • Not all products, coverages, features, and discounts are available in every state, and they may vary by state.

Please do not try to bind, change, or cancel coverage, or report a claim, by submitting a website form or leaving a message. Call us so we can confirm the change with you.

3. Quotes and estimates

Any price shown on this Site or given before underwriting is an estimate only. It is not an offer of insurance.

  • Rate estimators are illustrations. The Site's rate estimators use general assumptions and published averages. They do not use your actual driving record, claims history, property details, or the insurer's rates. Your real price may be higher or lower.
  • Quotes depend on accurate information. A quote is based on the information you give us and on what the insurer learns during underwriting. That may include driving records, claims history, and other reports where the law allows. If any of that is different, the price or eligibility may change.
  • The insurer sets the final price. Final premium, eligibility, and available discounts are decided by the insurer when it issues the policy.

4. Website content

The articles, guides, FAQs, and coverage pages on this Site are general information about insurance in Minnesota and Wisconsin. They are not professional advice about your specific situation, and they do not change or add to any policy. Laws, rates, and coverage options change. We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but we do not promise that every page is complete or up to date. For advice about your own coverage, talk with us directly.

5. Information you submit

  • You agree that the information you give us is true, accurate, and complete, and that you will tell us if it changes.
  • The phone number you give us must be your own, or one you are authorized to use. Please tell us if it changes hands.
  • If you give us information about another person, such as a spouse or another driver, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.
  • Giving false or incomplete information can affect your quote, your eligibility, or a future claim.
  • Please do not send Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or account numbers through Site forms or ordinary email.

How we use and protect what you submit is explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your information, and we never share it with other agencies for their marketing.

6. Consent to calls and texts

When you submit a quote form and agree to be contacted, you give Block Agency LLC, doing business as Farmers Insurance - Block Agency, your prior express written consent to call and text you at the number you provided, and to email you at the address you provided, about your insurance quote and related insurance products and services. These calls and texts may use automated technology or prerecorded or artificial voice messages.

  • Not a condition of purchase. Your consent is not a condition of buying any product or service. You can get a quote without it by calling us at (651) 252-6655.
  • Do Not Call registries. Your consent applies even if your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. If you ask us to stop, we add you to our internal Do Not Call list and stop.
  • Revoke anytime. You may revoke your consent at any time by any reasonable means. Reply STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT to any text, tell us on a call, call (651) 252-6655, or email info@blockagencyinc.com. We honor revocations within 10 business days, and an opt-out stops all of our marketing calls and texts.
  • Texting details. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We make marketing calls only between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time. More detail is in the calls and text messages section of our Privacy Policy.

7. Electronic records and signatures

Under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001) and Minnesota's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Minn. Stat. 325L), electronic records and signatures have the same legal effect as paper ones.

  • Your consent. By using our forms, you agree to receive disclosures, notices, and records about your quote request and your use of the Site electronically, on the Site or by email or text. Clicking a submit button such as "Get my free quote" is your electronic signature on the consent and disclosures shown with that button.
  • Scope. This consent covers our agency's communications about your quote request and this Site. Policy documents issued by an insurer are delivered under that insurer's own electronic delivery terms.
  • Paper copies. You have the right to a paper copy of any record we provide electronically, at no charge. Call (651) 252-6655, email info@blockagencyinc.com, or write to our office.
  • Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent to electronic records at any time by contacting us the same ways. We will then send records on paper by mail, which may slow some steps. Withdrawing does not affect records or signatures you already gave electronically.
  • Keeping your details current. Please tell us if your email address or phone number changes.
  • Hardware and software. You need a device with internet access, a current web browser, an email account, and the ability to view PDF files and to print or save records. If these requirements change in a way that could affect your access, we will tell you.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false information, or submit information about anyone without their permission.
  • Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to submit forms, scrape content, or collect data from the Site.
  • Try to get around the Site's security, or interfere with how the Site works.
  • Use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Copy or reuse the Site's content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Trademarks and content ownership

The text, design, and original content of this Site belong to Block Agency LLC. You may view and print pages for your own personal, noncommercial use.

Farmers®, Farmers Insurance®, and related names, logos, and marks are trademarks or service marks of Farmers Group, Inc. or its affiliates. Our agency uses them under its agency agreement with Farmers.

10. Other websites and tools

The Site links to, or uses tools from, other companies, such as Farmers, Google Maps, and online scheduling services. We do not control those websites or tools and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Their own terms and privacy notices apply when you use them.

11. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the Site will always be available or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Block Agency and its owner, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages that come from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim about your use of the Site is limited to $100. This limit does not apply to statutory damages under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection laws, or to anything that cannot be limited under Minnesota or Wisconsin law.

These limits apply only to your use of this website. They do not limit or waive any rights you have under an insurance policy, under Minnesota or Wisconsin insurance law, or any other right that cannot be limited or waived under Minnesota law. They also do not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct where the law does not allow that.

12. Dispute resolution and arbitration

This section applies to disputes between you and Block Agency about the Site, a quote request, or our calls, texts, and emails, including claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. It does not apply to claims under an insurance policy against the insurer that issued it. Those are governed by the policy and by insurance law.

Step 1: Informal resolution

Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, please send us a written notice describing the dispute and what you want. Include your name and the phone number or email you used with us. Mail it to the address in Section 15 or email info@blockagencyinc.com. We will send you a notice the same way if we have a dispute with you. We both agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute within 30 days. During that 30-day period, all statutes of limitations and filing deadlines are tolled, which means the clock stops.

Step 2: Individual arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute, it will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator may award you any individual relief a court could award. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

  • Fees. We will pay all AAA filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees for any arbitration you start, unless the arbitrator finds that your claim was frivolous or brought for an improper purpose. You and we each pay our own attorneys' fees, unless the law or the arbitrator awards them.
  • Location. The arbitration will be held by phone, by video, or in the county where you live, whichever you choose.

Mass Arbitration

If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against us by or with the help of the same or coordinated lawyers, they will be handled in batches of up to 25 demands at a time, with each batch heard by one arbitrator. Batches may proceed at the same time before different arbitrators. Statutes of limitations are tolled for every demand waiting its turn. We will continue to pay AAA fees as described above for each batch. Either side may ask a court to decide whether this batching rule applies.

Class action and jury trial waiver

You and we each agree to bring claims only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person except under the Mass Arbitration batching rule above. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial.

What is not covered by arbitration

  • Small claims court. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court (in Minnesota, conciliation court) if it qualifies.
  • Regulators. Nothing in these Terms stops you from filing a complaint with, or sharing information with, a government agency. That includes the Minnesota Department of Commerce (651-539-1600 or 800-657-3602), the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (800-236-8517), the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, or your state Attorney General.

Your right to opt out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first submit a form on the Site or first accept these Terms. Send us a letter at the address in Section 15 or an email to info@blockagencyinc.com. Include your name, the phone number or email you used with us, and a clear statement that you want to opt out of arbitration. Opting out will not affect anything else about your relationship with us.

Severability of the class waiver

If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for any claim, then that claim will be decided in court, not in arbitration, and the rest of this section will still apply to all other claims. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest of it remains in effect. If we change this section in the future, the change will not apply to a dispute you notified us about before the change.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 12. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be heard only in the state courts located in Dakota County, Minnesota, or in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. You and we agree to the jurisdiction of those courts. If you live in Wisconsin, you keep any protections of Wisconsin law that cannot be waived by agreement.

14. Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this Site, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That includes readable text and color contrast, text descriptions for images, labeled form fields, and full keyboard navigation.

We are continually improving the Site, and some pages or outside tools may not yet meet every guideline. If you have trouble using any part of the Site, or would like information in another format, please call (651) 252-6655 or email info@blockagencyinc.com. Tell us the page and the problem, and we will help you get the information or service you need, including over the phone. Se habla español.

15. General terms and contact

  • Changes. We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes apply from that date forward and do not apply to disputes that arose earlier.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site. Our Privacy Policy is a separate notice, not part of this agreement, and your insurance policy is a separate contract.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, except as Section 12 provides.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Transfer. We may transfer these Terms if our agency is sold or merged.
